We at Oz Baby Hire provide an extensive range of cost effective, hygienic and completely safe to use Baby items including capsules and car seats, strollers and prams, timber cots and porta travel cots, highchairs and baths and fun play equipment.

We are also accredited child restraint fitters, so we can supply your hire needs and install car seats. A one stop shop!

Do we have a sanitisation process?

Yes we do. Not only is all of our equipment purchased brand new and safety checked between hires, it is also maintained in excellent condition. We will not hire out any product that does not pass our strict safety checks. As we pride ourselves on the high standard of safety and cleanliness we offer on all our products, we have developed strict quality control on the age and condition of our equipment. Each item is thoroughly inspected before each hire and each item is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised with hospital grade products to ensure the best for you and your baby.

Are our products new?

All of our equipment is purchased brand new, maintained in excellent condition and thoroughly safety checked and sanitised before each hire. We pride ourselves on the high standard of safety and cleanliness we offer.

Do you have liability insurance?

Oz Baby Hire is proud to say that we have public liability insurance for the hire of baby equipment and the installation of child car restraints. This is current and kept up to date at all times.

Do you install car seats?

We have completed accreditation to enable us to install your child seats and capsules. In fact with the hire of any of our car seat options, we will install these items for free. As we believe that your child’s safety is of paramount importance, we are trained to provide the safest & most appropriate child restraint & installation for your child.

What is the Australian law about child restraints?

Australian law across a majority of states requires that children under 6 months must be in rear facing child restraints, our capsules meet these laws and safety regulations, children from 6 months to 4 years must be in either a rear facing or forward facing child restraint that has an inbuilt harness, our convertible car seats meet the legal requirements. Children over 4 and under 7 must in an approved restraint. Our booster seats meet the Australian standards. Child restraints must be suitable for the child’s size and weight and properly fitted and adjusted. Can we use a child restraint purchased from overseas?

The simple answer is No. Every child restraint sold in Australia, by law, must meet strict requirements, which are set out in Australian Standard AS/NZ1754. As most overseas child restraints do not comply with these Standards they cannot be used legally in Australia. The Australian Standard covers materials, design, construction, performance, testing and labelling of child restraints. All restraints used in Australia must carry the Australian Standard AS/NZ1754 sticker on the item in order to be legal.
